Our Mission

At Pathways to Mindfulness, our mission is to help people develop the skill of mindfulness as a way to greater freedom from the physical, mental, and emotional patterns that create stress.

Meet Our Teacher

Hi there. My name is Bridget Rolens. I want to offer you the knowledge and skills I have gained in my own search for ways to understand the causes of suffering (aka – stress) and the path that leads to the end of that suffering. 

My search led me to the practice of mindfulness-based stress reduction and the 2,600 year old wisdom tradition of mindfulness upon which it is based.  My passion is to assist those who are interested in cultivating the practice of mindfulness as a way of freeing their minds from the patterns of negativity that create stress and suffering.

My approach to developing the mind-body skills that lead toward freedom from stress and suffering is two-fold: 

1) Applying those concepts and practices of the contemporary psychological application of mindfulness through models such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and,

2) Integrating the 2,600 year old methods of freedom from stress found in the Buddhist tradition.

My formal educational background includes:

  • Certification as a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Instructor through the University of California Center for Mindfulness

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy

  • Master’s degree in Theology

My 25 years of attending retreats, workshops, and classes have given me a strong understanding of the knowledge and skills, rooted in the Buddhist tradition, that lead to an end to suffering.
